The same person appears twice in our register

John is listed twice. Once as a director and once as a shareholder.

Two entries is correct. A person who is both a director and a shareholder of the same entity appears once per role, and the director register and the shareholder register each show their own.

Each entry carries exactly one role, and shares attach only to the shareholder entry.

I removed a director and they still hold shares

I resigned him as director but he is still on the shareholding page.
